Urinary Tract Infection
Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder with is normally caused by bacteria in the urinary tract. It is most likely to occur in women. In certain circumstances, pharmacists at Monkbar Pharmacy are able to provide antibiotics to patients with cystitis.
Mild cystitis should resolve by itself within a few days. To help, you should drink plenty of fluid. We can help recommend painkillers to take to relieve discomfort.
Pharmacists will always make sure that any treatment for a urinary tract infection is appropriate and suitable for you. There will be a form for you to fill in at the pharmacy. If it is deemed that treatment is appropriate, then a 3-day course of antibiotics is £25.
