Vaccines afford protection against diseases that can make you extremely ill or at worse even kill. Despite known risks, almost one in four UK holidaymakers don’t get any vaccinations, despite travelling to areas that have life-threatening infectious disease. Vaccinations protect you against many travel-related infections such as polio, typhoid, hepatitis A and B, rabies, cholera and Japanese encephalitis. Vaccine requirements vary depending upon destination and the nature of your travel, so if you have booked a trip and want to know how to best protect your health drop into our pharmacy and speak with one of our highly trained pharmacists for a personal travel vaccine schedule.

What to do now

If you would like to enquire online about travel vaccinations or malaria tablets then please fill in the form below and email it to travel@monkbarpharmacy.co.uk, along with a copy of your vaccination history which can be obtained by contacting your GP. Someone will then be in touch with you within a few days to discuss your vaccination requirements. We also suggest you take a look at this website
This website will give you an idea of which vaccinations are recommended for the country you are travelling to, and which are to consider depending on the type of trip you going on and the specific areas of that country you are visiting.
You can also pop in and fill in the form at the pharmacy and bring your vaccination history with you.

We aim to get a travel clinician to contact you within 7 days. Thank you for your patience.

If you have any issues filling in the form, try saving the form on your computer and opening with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Alternatively, you can print it out, fill it in by hand, scan it, and send it to travel@monkbarpharmacy.co.uk. Or if you prefer, you can come into the pharmacy to fill out a printed form and hand it back to the pharmacy.
