  • Provide a professional, prompt, friendly and efficient service for all patients
  • Deal with incoming telephone calls, faxes and emails
  • Process prescriptions and produce labels

Apprentice Vacancy

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours a week

SALARY: £3.50 per hour

Over the course of a year full training is provided to help you achieve your level 2 NVQ dispensing qualification. You will have set aside study time at work to complete your training and our experienced staff will be helping you learn skills that will not only be useful in pharmacy but all areas of life.

No formal qualifications are necessary as all training will be provided on the job however a good level of secondary education especially in English and Maths are important as well as the following:

  • Selling over the counter medication to patients

Pre-Reg Placement Vacancy

We are an independent, 100 hour pharmacy in York City Centre and are looking to take on a Pre-Registration Pharmacist for 2019/2020. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our small, hardworking and friendly team.

JOB TITLE: Pre-Registration Pharmacist

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours a week

SALARY: £18,000, depending on experience

You will be working with 2 experienced pharmacists, who own the business and will give you insight into all aspects of community pharmacy practice throughout your placement with particular emphasis on communication and problem solving together with teaching you the vital clinical skills you will need to talk to and advise your patients. 

You will also be enrolled onto an external training program provided by ProPharmace which reinforces workplace training and covers all aspects of the pre-registration standards and competencies and aims to maximise your skills and ability to pass the pre-reg examination. Alongside this you will have a morning or afternoon each week of study time set aside.

You will also be involved in: Minor Ailments Scheme, Stop Smoking Service, Travel Health, Healthy Living, Weight Management, Monitored Dosage Systems to the Community and Nursing Homes.
